Rap Sheet
With this build I wanted to do something different than other Tomos builds. Most builds focus on maximizing performance, pushing and tuning the little 50cc engine. In this build I wanted to focus on aesthetics and interaction. I wanted it to be a moped that puts smiles on peoples faces. Because most of the moped had to be restored, there was plenty of opportunity to customize it.
The Gulf livery is a provocation. Gulf Racing belongs on a Porsche 917 or a McLaren F1, not a 50cc Dutch commuter. It forces people to look twice and ask a question the object cannot answer on its own.
Currently: daily rider. Ongoing.
